(Feb 4) RC Sofia International Enjoyed a Lecture by Rumen Draganov (+GAL)
Today RC Sofia International held its regular meeting in Kempinski Hotel Marinela. A special guest of the evening was Mr. Rumen Draganov – Head of the Institute for Analyses and Assessment in Tourism in Bulgaria. Before the exciting and interesting presentation of Mr. Draganov, the members and guests were informed that the Rotary Grape Passion Evening succeeded in collecting 3,700 BGN. The money will be used for the two initiatives announced prior to the event. We will be purchasing ski equipment for the kids studying in Louis Braille – School for Visually Impaired Children – Sofia, and will be installing doors at the Eyes on Four Paws Foundation premises in Sofia.
The club also announced that the next event will be on 29th May 2015 in Kempinski Hotel Marinela in Sofia. The cause to be supported will be announced soon. Tickets for the event will also be available soon with promotional prices.
Later on the meeting continued with a presentation by our guest Rumen Draganov on The Development of Bulgaria as an Attractive Tourist Destination. The presentation turned into a heated discussion and interesting view points were shared. The members of the club extended the invitation to Mr. Draganov, to come and visit us again to continue the discussion.
The fellowship continued in an informal and friendly atmosphere over a glass in the nearby bar.
