(Feb 22) Acceptance of a Member and Donation of 100 Books “Stoino mi, malai mome” to 100 Community Centers (+GAL)

22 February was a special meeting of Rotary Club Sofia International. We accepted a new member – Mr. Grant Lyndon Dale. Congratulations and welcome.

During the meeting we presented a check of 2,700 BGN for the project of our member Mr. Peter Simon – for 100 books, which will be donated to 100 Bulgarian Community centers. The book is “Stoino mi, malai mome” and contains 327 songs from different regions of Bulgaria.

We welcomed new friends – Mrs. Matje Vos, from Holland, and Mr. Petko Petkov from Rotary Club Auckland, New Zealand.

The official part of the meeting concluded with a discussion of the organization of our traditional fundraiser – Wine It! – which will take place on the 16 March 2017 at 19:00 in Royal Sofia Club in the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

Next week 1 March 2017 our guest lecturers will be representatives of the day center for children and teenagers with disability “Blagoveshtenie” with Caritas Sofia, for which we will collect money at our Wine It!.
