Ambassador Dimitar Mihaylov, Spoke at a Joint Meeting of Three Rotary Clubs (+GAL)

Rotary Club Sofia International initiated a joint meeting with its friends from Rotary Club Sofia Balkan and Rotary Club Sofia Center. The event was held at the meeting place of Rotary Club Sofia Balkan, Central Hotel Forum and apart from the members of the 3 clubs, many guests from universities, schools and other Rotary clubs also attended the presentation. The event was presided by the president of Rotary Club Sofia Balkan Mr. Sevelin Zahariev, the president of Rotary Club Sofia International Mr. Hans Promberger, and the vice-president of Rotary Club Sofia Center Mrs. Vesela Ivcheva. The meeting started with administrative part and continued with the special guest of the evening – H.E. Mr. Dimitar Mihaylov, PhD, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Syrian Arab Republic. H.E. spoke on the topic “The Arab Spring – Origins, Impact, Developments” .

H.E. is an alumnae of University of Damascus (Arabic Literature Department) and also Foreign Service employee for 20 years. H.E. is a part-time lecturer with the Sofia University from where he holds a PhD in history (more specifically History of Islam)
