Rotary Club Sofia International held its regular meeting on 7 June 2017 at Hilton Sofia. We had the pleasure to welcome once again our new friends Mrs. Inna Badan and Mr. Claude Badan from Astana International Rotary Club (AIRS).

We are planning our next yearly whiskey evening – Blend It! 2017. It will be in Bodega on 6, Tzar Asen Str. in the center of Sofia on 22 June 2017. This is a traditional Whiskey Tasting Fundraising Evening of Rotary Club Sofia International and this year the money collected will be used for organizing professional training for the kids in the home in Doganovo village. Feel free to join us and also, please invite guests.

The presentation st this meeting was by our member Dr. Tatiana Benisheva on the topic – “Where to Allocate the European Medicines Agency (EMA) after Brexit?”

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) situated in London is analogical to EU Parliament, when it comes to the pharma industry. After Brexit the headquarters of EMA will be transferred to another EU member country. This action will take place after March 2019.

After the official part the members and guests continued the preparation for Blend It! 2017 with drinks in the lobby bar and after midnight congratulated our President Elect – Ani for her birthday and wished her all the best and success during her term next Rotarian year.
