It was Garden Party type of event. The guests were mainly ladies from many different nations. The dress code was the traditional dresses from the country of origin of the lady. There was an informal fashion show on a special podium under the accompaniment of traditional national music. All “models” presented themselves brilliantly and received the applause of the audience.
Our president Ms. Hristova was a guest of the cocktail. She was dressed in traditional “Shopska” dress from the village of Breznik, Pernik region.

On 14 April 2018 in the National Academy of Arts in Sofia was the official opening of the exhibition of Max Marra. The exhibition will be open till 14 May 2018.
One night of beautiful artistic madness, this is the history of the paintings by the Italian artist Max Marra dedicated to Rembrandt. The year is 1999, and the National Gallery in London organizes the exhibition “Rembrandt by Himself”, with self-portraits of the greatest artist of the golden age of Dutch painting – Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. After the exposition, Max Marra returns to his hotel room and paints all night. The result is 151 paintings made with blue ink and plant essences on wax-treated paper. Marra portrays the self-portraits of the great Flemish man from memory. In the same week, a German galley buys 100 of these drawings. The remaining 51 are now exposed in Sofia.
The exhibition is organized by the member of Rotary Club Sofia International and our dear friend Mr. Giuseppe Lepore.

Interesting for our us was the fact, that in Argentina, the Bulgarian emigrants are the 3rd largest emigrant group. He explained that this year it is 86 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between our two countries, which are friendly and stable and develop within the common values and principles. The Ambassador pointed out that the representatives of the community of Argentinians of Bulgarian origin, who live and work in the country, have undoubtedly helped for that. Fully integrated and at the same time proudly bearing their cultural roots, for several generations, they have contributed with their virtues as hard work and honesty in shaping the national identity of Argentina.
