RAC Sofia International at Medical Academy with World AIDS Day Campaign (+GAL)

The preliminary Rotaract Club Sofia International at Medical Academy organized on Dec 1, 2012 an awareness campaign on AIDS together with the members of Medical Students for Choice club. The goal of the campaign was to inform and educate students about AIDS and the World AIDS Day. A brochure with information on: (1) what World AIDS Day is, (2) why is that day important, (3) what everyone can do on World AIDS Day, (4) how HIV/AIDS is transmitted, prevented and treated, (5) the symptoms of HIV/AIDS, (6) and information on HIV testing was given out. Additionally free condoms, 200 cupcakes and 200 red ribbons also were distributed to students and the public in order to attract them to the event. The campaign was also used to increase awareness for the new Roraract Club Sofia International and for the Medical Students for Choice club and their initiatives, as well as to recruit new members.
