(Oct 30) RC Sofia International Welcomes Distinguished Guests at the Last Meeting in Arte Hotel

Today RC Sofia International held its regular meeting, which was the last meeting in Arte Hotel. From 6 November, 2013, the regular meetings of the club will take place as usual every Wednesday at 19:00 o’clock in the new venue Kempinski Hotel Zografski in Sofia on 100, James Bourcher Boulevard.

At the meeting we had the pleasure to welcome Dr. Atanas Kolaorv form Rotary Club Manama, Bahrain. He briefly introduced himself, and shared with the members and guests of our club the projects that RC Manama is doing and the events they organize to raise money for their initiatives. We also had the pleasure to welcome a transferring Rotarian form RC Roma Sud, Mr. Giuseppe Lepore, who has moved his business to Bulgaria and is now a member of our club.

The President of our Rotaract Club Sofia International. Mrs. Tsvetanka Grahovska, shared with us more details on the initiative Classical Future, which RC Sofia International will be supporting with 900 BGN from the funds we have collected during our International Food Day. The remaining funds needed for this initiative for support of young and talented musicians will be raised by the Rotaractors themselves.

RC Sofia International will also support another initiative with the remaining a bit more than 400 BGN form the International Food Day fundraiser, namely eye checks for 200 people in need, and the glasses for 50 of those people. This initiative will be executed together with Angels Foundation and our member and Chairman of Angels Foundation for Stara Zagora.

The meeting followed with announcements for upcoming events, after which the official part was over ant the members and guest continued the fellowship with discussions and networking.
