(Oct 12) Regular Meeting and Lecture by our Member Mr. Tony Ripley (+GAL)

Rotary Club Sofia International held its weekly regular meeting on 12 October 2016. We discussed our future project aiming to help the kids of Father Ivan. We will be collecting money for this project at the Oktoberfest Celebration in Hilton Sofia on 15th October. Our kind hosts from Hilton have agreed that Rotary Club Sofia International will have 2 donation boxes at the event to collect money for the kids of Father Ivan in Yakimovo.

The meeting continued with a lecture by our member and friend from Minnesota Mr. Tony Ripley. He started with a video greeting from his previous Rotary Club from Minnesota. Tony’s lecture continued with Ethics Test for all the present. Then he elaborated on the Rotary Ethics Workshop, which will be a full-day immersion into the field of ethics for high school students from Sofia schools. Best 10 to 12 students from 11th and 12th grade will take a part in the workshop. All the time with them there will will be a Rotarian, who will “navigate” the conversation.

After the meeting the fellowship continued with discussions around the upcoming Oktoberfest Celebration.
