(Jun 22) Regular Meeting and an Update on the Progress of the Global Grant Project (+GAL)

On 22 June 2016, Rotary Club Sofia International held its regular meeting in the garden of Hilton Sofia. We had the pleasure to welcome numerous guests among whom the Vocational Training Team working on realizing the Global Grant Project of our club and clubs form D-1100 in Rotary Britain and Ireland, we also welcomed guests from RC Sofia Capital, as well as many friends of the club.

The meeting was presided by the President Elect, Mr. Horst Stüer, who opened, gave the word to the guests for a short introduction, and proceeded with announcing the program for the next couple of weeks. He also informed us that informal meetings will be taking place each Wednesday at 19:00 also during the summer vacation period.

Later the Vocational Training Team gave report on the progress of the Global Grant Project fro opening two social restaurants, where kids from protected homes would learn a profession and make their living. The project is worth over 100,000 USD. The two restaurants will soon be opened for operations. More information will be announced here.

The unofficial part continued with drinks and discussions and after midnight with the celebration of a Birthday of a dear member of the club.
