(Jul 9) Handover Ceremony of District Governor D-2482 (+GAL)

On 9 July 2016 was the official opening of the New Rotarian Year 2016-2017 in the beautiful city Plovdiv, in the Regional History Museum, took place.

The Ceremony started with a cappella singing of the National Anthem of Republic of Bulgaria and the anthem of Rotary Bulgaria, performed by Trio “Soprano”.

Past District Governor presented the chain to the new District Governor – Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and wished him successful year. After that the presidents of Rotary, Rotaract and Interact also exchanged chains. The 7 years old  violinist Victor Vassilev performed a musical greeting for the guests.

The official part was followed by a cocktail and later a dinner in Reastaurant “Bendida” in Grand Hotel Plovdiv. For the good mood of the guests again catered Trio “Soprano” and Viktoria Maneva – 14 years old talent.

Rotary Club Sofia International was represented by the President Elect – Ani Hristova.

In true Rotarian tradition the party ended in the early hours.
