(Feb 18) RC Sofia International Hosts Mr. Ivailo Kalfin at a Regular Meeting

Rotary Club Sofia International held its regular weekly meeting on 18 February in Kempinski Hotel Marinela. A special guest of the evening was Mr. Ivailo Kalfin – Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Policy. The meeting was attended by numerous Rotarians from the Sofia clubs and by many friends of Rotary.

Mr. Kalfin spoke on the challenges cabinet faces and shared the priorities and programs his ministry will work on during his mandate. The exposé of Mr. Kalfin was followed by a heated question and answer session. Numerous friends shared ideas and expressed willingness to help with resources for the improvement of the labor market in Bulgaria.

Guests of the meeting were also our friends from “HiLife” who received a sponsor’s certificate for their support during the Rotary Grape Passion Evening.

The club’s secretary announced that the next fundraising initiative will be the Rotary Malt Temptations Evening, to be held on 29 May 2015 in Kempinski Hotel Marinela in Sofia, starting at 19:00. The funds collected during the event will be used for purchasing of a fuser oven for Graphya Foundation. Fuser is a device allowing a two dimensional photograph to be transferred to a special swell paper, making it possible for visually impaired people to also “see” the photo.
