(24 Nov) A Presentation on Entrepreneurship at a Regular Meeting (+GAL)
The regular meeting on 24 November 2021 hosting an entrepreneurship presentation was presided as usual by Mrs. Hristina Malchevska in Hilton Sofia. After the introduction of our regular guests, she continued with internal affairs, including District news, our club’s projects and activities update.
Furthermore, Hristina presented the special gift from our friends from Rotary Club Paris Agora that we received during their visit in Sofia- a premium book about Paris signed by all Friends that were in Bulgaria. They give their kind gratitude for our warm welcome and great time in Sofia. We are invited to visit Paris and our friends in March 2022 for the Rotary Club Paris Agora anniversary.
Then we had a lecture by our regular guest Axel Gaubert, an entrepreneur from France on interesting topic – Entrepreneurship – The Market’s Democracy. He spoke about meritocracy and the link of democracy to it and that entrepreneurship can be considered as one of the rare true meritocracies. He gave examples of Steve Jobs and other famous entrepreneurs about their success. Most important is the value and the truth of the product or service. People do not care about the ideas. Picasso used to say “The good artists copy, the genius steals”. When you are an entrepreneur, you don’t wonder what the others do. You are looking to do your own version of what everybody does. So, if you want to get into an area you don’t know, learn it. You might become passionate and work harder than anybody else. And if there was one common behavior with every successful person, it is that they work much harder than the rest.
After the presentation the fellowship continued.
